Social Styles preferences is about how we prefer to communicate and be communicated with. Understanding ourselves and others social style preferences helps reduce the likelihood of difficult conversations and increase the likelihood of collaboration. It also helps conversations be more effective. This module helps you identify and understand both yours and others’ preferences.

Facing objections is an inevitable part of the evolution of medicine and science. Difficult Conversations can begin with an objection. People resist change to different degrees and objections are often an indication that people need support in going through that change. In the module we look at the different types of objections and a model that helps us think positively about objections and how to manage them to great outcomes.

Often in difficult conversations our emotions related to the person or subject can get in the way of a great outcome or even damage the relationship. This module explores how we can ensure we get the best outcomes by using the right mindset and process to manage our own reactions to the perceived difficulty.

This module looks at the ‘difficult behaviours’ of others, to both help understand what might be driving that behaviour and how we can help manage it. The module includes how to manage ‘difficult behaviours’ when presenting and even with your boss.
